Chateau park and the Loučenský poklad treasure hunt

From CHA-LU-PA via Kociánov to the chateau (1.2 km), a loop through the two-level park past the pond with the statue of Neptune, the grotto with a waterfall, the orangery and the ancient lime trees (approx. 1.5 km on park paths, pushchair OK), back the same way

Tips

• Caution – treasure hunt game available until roughly the end of October 2026 (icloucna.cz, 1 September 2026); the IC (information centre) is closed for renovation from 15 October 2026 (11:30) to 29 October 2026, reopening on 30 October; selected IC items (maps) are meanwhile at Kavárna Tančírna (Fri–Sun 10–18)
• Map at the weekend – The information centre (no. 57) is open on weekdays only – at the weekend buy the treasure map (60 Kč) at Kavárna Tančírna, where the final chest is too.
• With a pushchair – Both the park and the whole game are passable with a pushchair; the game takes 1–2 h and is most fun for children under ten.
• Two games at once – The Luštěnka puzzle trail (50 Kč, 1.5 km) also starts at the information centre – both games fit into one afternoon and end at the café with a playground.
• Chateau tour – The otherwise closed Vízmberk chateau can only be seen on a guided tour on summer-holiday Sundays at 16:00 (80 Kč, booking at loucnand.reenio.cz).
• Opening hours – park freely accessible, free of charge (kudyznudy.cz: April–October 9–20, November–March 9–17); the chateau is closed to the public (long-term renovation)
• Admission – park free; Loučenský poklad (treasure hunt) game map 60 Kč/player (Loučná info centre or Kavárna Tančírna, cash or card); guided tours of Vízmberk chateau 80 Kč (children under 10 free) every Sunday of the summer holidays 28 Jun–23 Aug 2026 at 16:00, booking at loucnand.reenio.cz
