Velké Losiny Handmade Paper Mill

By train to Velké Losiny (14 min), from the station 650 m along Lázeňská and U Papírny streets to the Handmade Paper Mill (guided tour 60 min, children's workshops). Then 1.3 km along Zámecká street to the chateau with a freely accessible park and past the remains of the Popravčí dub (Hangman's Oak) 0.9 km to the Velké Losiny zámek stop (or back to the station).

Tips

• Stop by the chateau – Besides Velké Losiny railway station, the train also stops at the Velké Losiny zámek stop – about 1.1 km from the paper mill and 900 m from the chateau; handy for the way back.
• Booking – In season (May–September) tours usually start every half hour, out of season (October–April) every full hour, the last one an hour before closing; book your slot (including the option of making your own sheet of paper) online at rpvl.cz no later than the day before, on the day of your visit by phone only.
• Opening hours – January–April and October–December: Tue–Fri 10–17, Sat–Sun 9–17 (closed Mon, pre-booked groups only); May, June, September: daily 9–17; July–August: Mon–Fri 9–18, Sat–Sun 9–12 and 12:30–18; guided tours (~60 min, max. 40 people) usually start every half hour in the May–September season, every hour on the hour in the October–April off-season; the last one 60 min before closing
