Velké Losiny by train: chateau, paper mill, thermal baths

By train to the Velké Losiny zámek stop (approx. 15 min), from there 900 m past the remains of the Popravčí dub (Hangman's Oak) to the Renaissance chateau of the Žerotín family: guided tour (60 min), the courtyard and chateau park freely accessible (also with a pushchair). Back the same way to the stop.

Tips

• Stop by the chateau – Besides the station the train also stops at the Velké Losiny zámek halt – from there it's only 900 m to the chateau, and right next to it is the Motýlák butterfly house (seasonal, until mid-October).
• Executioner's Oak – The remains of an oak by the path from the halt to the chateau commemorate the victims of the witch trials – it ties in with the exhibition in the Geschader House in Šumperk.
