Rychlebské stezky bike trails
Easy (blue) family loop from the Základna base along the Černý potok stream – the trails' website gives approx. 20 km, jeseniky.cz 28.9 km – with minimal elevation gain; even so it requires basic confidence on rough ground. For the youngest, a skills centre with a pump track at the base, a bike kindergarten, or the Vidnava loop (blue)
The trail centre classic: climb up the Dr. Wiessner trail (7.1 km, +415 m, the only climbing trail) below Sokolí vrch and descend the Superflow flow trail (10.9 km, 442 m of descent, 8 sections) back to the Základna base; medium difficulty (red). Harder options: Wales (rocks and roots, 1.7 km), Prokletý/Mramorový/Sjezdy (6.6 km), Velryba

Tips
- Caution – as of 10/2026 the trails website reports Superflow section 6 and the 2nd half of the Trail along Černý potok as closed; new trails Jestřáb and T-RYS (from the Hithit crowdfunding campaign)
- Book your bike in advance – The rental at Základna works by online reservation only (rychlebky.rezervator.cz) – on summer-holiday weekends it's often sold out weeks ahead.
- Start with the blue trail – With children and beginners ride the blue loops (Černý potok, Vidnavský) and the skills centre; even the blue ones require some off-road experience.
- Superflow from the bottom – If you don't dare tackle the whole Superflow, try its last sections, reachable via forest roads; the only climb is on the Dr. Wiessner trail.
- Helmet and protective gear – The technical rocky trails (Wales, Prokletý, Velryba) are for experienced riders; always wear a helmet, knee pads are useful. The trails are rideable even in rain.
- Closures online – Before you set off, check the trail status on the trails' website (sections may be closed due to construction or logging).
- Season – April–October (trails closed 1 November–31 March).
- Opening hours – trails April–October; evening riding ban: April from 18:30, May 19:30, June–July 20:00, August 19:00, September 17:30 (from 20 Sep 16:30), October 16:00; riding banned in strong wind. Info centre: July–August daily 9–18, April–June and September–October Thu–Sun 9–18
- Admission – riding is free, voluntary contribution to trail maintenance (QR code on the website, Hithit); the trails are built by the Rychlebské stezky z.s. association
- Parking – free at the Základna base (overnight at the campsite for a fee)
