Bruntál Chateau and Uhlířský vrch
Guided tour of the chateau exhibition (approx. 60 min: chapel, first-floor halls with rococo paintings and original furnishings, library, picture gallery), the museum exhibition in the Old Palace (crafts and trades of the Bruntál region, nature) and a walk through the 2.5 ha chateau park with a sala terrena, statues of ancient gods and a small lake – entrance to the park on the right side of the chateau

Tips
- Caution – Renovation in progress (roof, windows, façade; 1st stage until the end of 2026) – the chateau and museum are open in a slightly restricted mode, access to the courtyard is prohibited, the park is reached by the entrance on the right side of the chateau; check the current state on tel. 554 717 947
- Guided tour – The chateau tour lasts an hour – rococo halls, chapel, library and picture gallery of the Teutonic Order; last entry an hour before closing.
- Park free of charge – The chateau park with a pond, sala terrena and statues is open free of charge even during the renovation (entrance to the right of the chateau) – easy going even with a pushchair.
- Volcano with a church – Uhlířský vrch is an extinct volcano – in the former quarry on the southern slope you'll see volcanic bombs; the lime avenue to the church was Avenue of the Year 2022.
- The route via Skřítek – By car you go via the Skřítek pass and Rýmařov (approx. 50 km) – on the way back you can stop at the Skřítek peat bog or detour to the Rešovské vodopády waterfalls.
- Rain – The chateau, museum and cafés in the centre work in any weather; in the rain you can drive up Uhlířský vrch on the road to Kočov.
- Season – year-round (chateau: May–September daily, October–April Tue–Sun).
- Opening hours – 1 May–30 Sep daily 9:30–17:30; 1 Oct–30 Apr Tue–Sun 9:30–16:30 (closed Mon); closed 24–25 Dec and 31 Dec–1 Jan; last tour of the chateau exhibition 60 min before closing time
- Admission – chateau exhibition: full 150 Kč, reduced 100 Kč (children 4–14, students up to 26, disabled, seniors 65+), family 450 Kč (max. 2 adults + 4 children), children under 3 free; museum exhibitions and displays 30–90 Kč; foreign-language commentary +100 %; discounts for KČT, ISIC, ITIC
- Parking – paid car parks right nearby: by the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary (150 m) or between Dr. E. Beneše and Fügnerova streets (200 m); 15 min on foot from the bus and railway stations
- Booking – groups and coach tours must book in advance (tel./e-mail); online tickets are valid for 30 days, show the QR code at the ticket office
