Tips

• Caution – The lookout tower is CLOSED from 1 Jul 2026 until about the end of October 2026 for repairs to the outer cladding and roof – check kctsumperk.cz/rozhledna before the trip; the summit and surroundings remain accessible
• Check it's open – In 2026 the tower is closed from July to the end of October for repairs to the cladding and roof; after reopening it's open at weekends, daily in the school holidays.
• View – From the platform at 24 m you can see Praděd, Králický Sněžník, the Rychlebské and Orlické mountains, and in good visibility Svatý Kopeček and Bouzov.
• Easier option – From the Na Vápenicích stop in Horní Temenice it's only 1.4 km to the summit – even preschoolers can manage it, but the last section is steep.
• Train there and back – From Šumperk up to Háj and on along the blue-marked trail to Bludov (10 km in total) – return by train from Bludov or Bludov lázně station, where the thermal baths are.
• Season – year-round at weekends, daily in the school holidays (2026: closed for repairs from 1 July to about the end of October).
