Tips
- Caution – verified 10/2026: lookout tower open, Chata Návrší closed, chairlift in summer operation until the end of September
- Baby elephant and the spring – The source of the Morava is 300 m below the summit on the Czech side, the statue of the little elephant (1932) a bit further on by the foundations of the Liechtenstein hut – both are on the red-marked trail, don't miss the turn-off.
- Návrší is closed – Chata Návrší is being renovated (reopening not planned until the end of 2027) – bring your own food and drink; the nearest option is the Polish schronisko (mountain hut) below the summit.
- Chairlift up, walk down – The chairlift to Štvanice saves the steepest forest section (approx. 1 h); check the operating hours – outside the school holidays it runs only on certain days and in October it's closed.
- By train to Staré Město – Line 294 from Hanušovice to Staré Město p. Sn. runs (regional trains every 1–2 h); from the station it's 4 km to Stříbrnice – a bus or combining with the car pays off.
- Weather at the summit – The summit is above the tree line and often in fog; the lookout tower is worth it only in clear weather. You can freely cross the border with Poland – carry ID.
- By train – Staré Město pod Sněžníkem (line 294 from Hanušovice, regional trains roughly every 1–2 h; to Stříbrnice 4 km on foot or by bus).
- Season – May–October (lookout tower freely accessible year-round; chairlift in summer).
- Parking – car park at the Kraličák chairlift in Stříbrnice (price not verified); small car park at the end of the village
- Chairlift – Kraličák, Stříbrnice – six-seater chairlift to Štvanice (also takes bikes and pushchairs): summer 2026 e.g. September daily 9–17, October–November closed, winter from 26 Dec 2026; summer 2026 prices: one-way 170 Kč (online 156), return 250 Kč (online 230), children 6–14 and seniors 65+ 135/200 Kč, children 3–5 years 70/100 Kč, under 3 free, card deposit 100 Kč
- Restrictions – Králický Sněžník national nature reserve (1,695 ha) – marked trails only, the summit is above the tree line (wind, fog)
