Guided tour of the Dlouhé stráně power plant

By car to the free car park of the Kouty ski resort, meeting point at the orange EXKURZE sign in front of Bar Lyžírna. The tour bus takes you 6.7 km up the Divoká Desná valley into the underground power plant and to the lower reservoir (tour all year round, approx. 2 h, for individuals at 11:00, 12:00 and 14:00, online booking required); on foot only around the site and by the reservoir.

Tips

• Chairlift discount – After the excursion you get 25 % off the chairlift from the resort to Medvědí hora – the lookout tower U Tetřeví chaty and the Rysí stezka trail for children, down by scooter too.
• Without a car – From Kouty station it's 2.5 km along the road to the site; the upper reservoir is included only in the May–October tour, the VR goggles underground are for ages 7 and up, and pushchairs can't go on the bus.
• Opening hours – only with an online reservation at dlouhe-strane.cz (not possible by e-mail or phone; remaining places also on site at the ČEZ information centre, 1st floor by Bar Lyžírna); individuals join the scheduled tours – tour 1 (power plant + lower reservoir) year-round at 11:00, 12:00 and 14:00 (approx. 2 h), tour 2 (+ upper reservoir) May–October at 10:00 and 13:00 (approx. 3 h); a tour runs if at least 25 participants sign up, otherwise another date is offered; boarding at Skiareál Kouty in front of Bar Lyžírna (orange EXKURZE sign)
• Admission – tour 1 (power plant + lower reservoir): adults 240 Kč online / 270 Kč on site, seniors 65+ 200/230, children under 5 90/110; tour 2 (+ upper reservoir): 340/370, seniors 300/330, children under 5 105/125 (price list dlouhe-strane.cz/strane/cenik); after the excursion −25 % on the chairlift (excursion participant return 400 Kč)
