Tips
- Caution – 7/2026 the PLA Administration was repairing an erosion-damaged 240 m section of the trail from the Pod Keprníkem trail junction to the summit (approx. 1 month, hikers only, temporary restrictions) – current info at jeseniky.aopk.gov.cz / the PLA Administration's FB
- A ridge with no shelter – Between Červenohorské sedlo and Chata Jiřího there is no hut or shelter with refreshments. Take water, layers and a windproof jacket – it's windy on the ridge and the weather changes quickly.
- Šerák–Keprník National Nature Reserve – Stay on marked trails only. The summit rocks of Vozka and Keprník are the best viewpoints of the route; in summer 2026 an erosion-damaged section below the summit of Keprník was being repaired.
- Chairlift instead of the descent – From Chata Jiřího it is 1 km to the top station of the chairlift; riding down to Ramzová saves 6 km and 600 m of descent. Check it's running (maintenance in April and November).
- Return by train – From Ramzová the train runs via Hanušovice to Šumperk (sometimes with a change in Zábřeh) and on to Loučná nad Desnou – 1–2 changes, approx. 2.5 h. Or leave a second car in Ramzová and go back for the first one by bus 122.
- Shorter version with children – A wide track (Bílý sloup) leads to Červená hora; school-age children can manage the 7.8 km. Beyond Červená hora the ridge is rockier and longer – more for the fit.
- By train – back from Ramzová (line 292) via Hanušovice and Šumperk to Loučná nad Desnou.
- Season – May–October (the ridge is usually snow-free from the end of May).
- Parking – Červenohorské sedlo – large car park (paid in season)
- Shuttle bus – line 122 ARRIVA Šumperk – Velké Losiny – Loučná n. D. (Rejhotice stop) – Kouty – Červenohorské sedlo – Jeseník, approx. 6 services daily (IDOS 10/2026); long-distance line 157 Brno – Jeseník
- Chairlift – Šerák – Ramzová (2 sections, bonera.cz): one way 380 Kč, children under 10 300 Kč; summer 8:30–16:30; maintenance in April and November
