Šumperk: Muzejíčko and the Witch Trials

By train to Šumperk (approx. 30 min), from the station 600 m through the Sady 1. máje park to the Regional Museum in Pavlínin dvůr (Hlavní třída 22) – the children's Muzejíčko (bring indoor shoes) and the permanent exhibition. Then along Hlavní třída to náměstí Míru and up the town hall tower (lift + 71 steps, gallery at 27 m), back to the station.

Tips

• Town hall tower – From June to September you go up every hour on the hour (9–14, in summer until 16) from the guides' station in the town hall basement; out of season via the Information Centre (Hlavní třída 14) with a reservation. Admission 60/30 Kč, family 150 Kč.
• Summer only – The secret railway command post has tours only in July and August (Mon, Thu–Sat at 9:30, 11:30, 13:30 and 15:30, max. 12 people, 90/50 Kč) – tickets at the town hall, nám. Míru 1.
• Opening hours – all year round Tue–Sun 9–17
• Admission – permanent exhibition 80 Kč / reduced 50 Kč, children under 6 free; exhibitions and workshops as advertised; card payment OK
