Tips

• Caution – Kudy z nudy states “temporarily closed – the bobsled run is closed in the 2026 summer season”; in 2025 it was running (review 8/2025, jeseniky.cz “in operation since spring 2025”); the operator's website is out of date – you must check by phone before you go
• Call first – The operator's website is out of date and Kudy z nudy reports closed for summer 2026 – check it's running on 602 524 414 before the trip.
• Small children – Children under 8 ride with an adult (adult + child aged 4–7: 130 Kč); the bobsleds have brakes and belts, and you control the speed yourself.
• By train – Ostružná lies on the Šumperk–Jeseník line (2 h from Loučná nad Desnou); from the station 2.7 km uphill along the road, in winter a ski bus runs.
• Continuing the climb – From Petříkov (800 m) the red-marked trail leads to Paprsek (5 km) and to Šerák (7.6 km) – from Šerák take the chairlift down to Ramzová and the train home.
• Archery – At the bottom station, archery under the supervision of an instructor (20 arrows 120 Kč), a medal for the best shooters.
• Season – summer season end of April–October (April–May weekends only); according to Kudy z nudy closed in summer 2026 – check.
• Opening hours – according to the operator: April–May Sat–Sun 10–17 (otherwise by phone arrangement), June–October “to be specified” (the kaste.cz website has not been updated since spring 2023); according to tourist portals June–September daily 10–18, May and September Fri–Sun and public holidays 10–18; archery Sat–Sun 10–17; closed in rain
• Admission – 1 ride: adults 110 Kč, children 7–15 and seniors 65+ 90 Kč, adult with a child aged 4–7 130 Kč, senior with a child 110 Kč; 5 rides 500 / 400 / 550 / 500 Kč (kaste.cz price list, year not stated); archery 20 arrows 120 Kč
• Parking – own car park at the Kaste complex / Horská chata Kaste; in winter an overflow car park at the start of Petříkov
