Hob and lights
Hob and oven switch
On the wall above the kitchen counter there is a switch with an LED indicator. The hob only works when this switch is on. The hob is induction.
Dining area lights
The main light switches are always by the door; above the counter there are further switches for the individual LED strips on the beam or just the dining area light.
Fridge
Turn it on by holding the button inside on the right: the dot lights up green. Please always switch the fridge off before you leave by holding the same button again, until the light goes out.
Fireplace
Leave the lower vents fully open only for the first ten minutes or so. Once the fire is going properly, close them to about a quarter, otherwise too strong a draught simply sends the heat up the chimney. Opening the upper vents slightly keeps the glass from blackening.
coffee machine
Fill the tank with water and place a cup under the spout, then open the capsule compartment on top – this starts the machine heating up. Insert the capsule with the silver side facing you and choose the cup size by pressing one of the three buttons on top. Close the compartment and the coffee starts brewing as soon as the machine is hot. The machine can jam for two reasons: if the buttons flash from front to back, the water tank is empty; if they flash from back to front, a capsule is stuck and you need to open the compartment and release it.
Dishwasher
Please do not leave any dirty dishes behind. Under the sink you will find dishwasher tablets: put one in the dispenser, select the ECO programme, press the start icon and close the door.
